false promises

is it only me or is anyone else surprized at the promises our politicians have made this round too!!! i want to concentrate on one particular promise...slum regularization!!! all parties are eager to please the slumdogs and make them millionares...they don't have the spine to recognize that these slums have come up on the property/land which very much belongs to the govt in the first place...then on top of it we have use the tax payers money to buy the land back, provide them redeployment and they still have the audacity to say 300 sq ft house (free house i want to emphasise) is not enough!!! does this happen anywhere else too??? i just want to bulldoze these idiots twice!!! how can we be so shameless and allow these people to occupy something which is not theirs? and top of it we will pay them to move out...why...why this gutless behaviour!! is there no one whoese blood bolis seeing thsi? what should we do ?

low voter turnout

so its done mumbai...we had a chanc to do something that past generation didn't...we will go all the way from town to vashi to watch a live cricket match cause its the freakin IPL!!! we will even stand outside the pub for 15 mins very patiently to get in...we will even wait at the airport check in/security when we go abroad...but we can't wait in the queue to vote...who will take so much pain to ensure that we vote...anyways its a waste...politics is all bad and all politicians are fools...why be a bigger fool and vote for these fools right? common excuses are a galore...my names no in the list, i don't like the  candidate, am out of town, am in office, am too tied up, am not into politics and what not...these same pricks will complain that their roads are dug up, their window view is restricted because of the new fly over, their childeren don't have even free and open space to play in, there is so much corruption, there is no hope for India...great job Mumbaikars...we are again going to be governed by a weak coalition govt who will be bullied by uneducated goons and selfish assh***s...

election time

I know politics is everyone's fav muse to write ill things about. But I want to say something different. As much as we hate the politicians, we fail to remember that politics and politicians are 2 seperate things. While its fair to not like the person representing you, it not cool to think politics itself is bad. Power and fame can have adverse effect on all of us and that exactly whats happened to these politicians. Its better to pity them than be angry at them. I have a read lot about citizens forums fielding educated, ambitious and zero criminal record candidates from their constituency in Mumbai. This is a great move and we should all support it. But its also high time we all decide to vote. If we sit at home then we have no right to complain about anything. As Mahatma rightly said "Be the change you want to see"...India is a magical country but don't expect some magic here!!!
